Add your students' names

Is the wheel genuinely random? (For the sceptical student)
Yes — and this is worth explaining to your class. WheelNamer uses crypto.getRandomValues(), the same cryptographic randomness used in banking security software. It draws entropy from hardware events happening inside the computer — timings too small to observe or predict.
This means the outcome is determined by physics, not by a predictable formula. No one — not you, not the students, not the computer itself — can predict or influence the result. This makes WheelNamer genuinely fairer than drawing names from a hat (where position, folding, and grip all introduce subtle bias).
For older students: explaining how cryptographic randomness works is itself an interesting lesson in computer science and probability. Why does getting the same name twice in a row not mean the wheel is broken? (Hint: it's the same reason you can flip heads three times in a row with a fair coin.)

Can I save my class list so I don't retype it every lesson?
Yes. Use the Save button in the entries panel to save your wheel to your browser. To keep multiple class lists, download each one as a file using Save to File — reload it any time with the Import button. You can also import your class list directly from a CSV or XLSX spreadsheet.
Does it work on an interactive whiteboard?
