About Us

Built by developers who use it themselves — because the alternatives weren't good enough.

Why We Built This

WheelNamer came out of a straightforward brief: build the best free random selector available on the web — and actually mean it. Most wheel spinners we found were slow, ad-heavy, limited in what they could do, or required an account just to save your entries. We thought people deserved better.

So we set out to build a tool that was fast, genuinely useful across a wide range of situations — classrooms, giveaways, team decisions, game nights — and free to use without any of the friction.

The Team Behind It

WheelNamer is developed and maintained by a professional web development team based in the UK, led by the senior developer Bob, who has run his own computer and software business for over 30 years. The team specializes in web development and application creation, and has built products across a wide range of industries over that time.

We work with a group of experienced web developers who embrace new technologies as they emerge rather than sticking with what's familiar. That approach is reflected in WheelNamer: it's built with a modern stack, optimized for performance, and designed to work well on any device.

WheelNamer is our first public release in this space, but it represents a significant amount of planning, development, and testing. It is a product we're genuinely proud of — and one we plan to keep improving.

What WheelNamer Includes

Our goal was to go beyond the basic wheel spinner and provide a complete set of random selection tools in one place, without forcing users to visit multiple sites:

  • Wheel Spinner — fully customizable with your own entries and saved wheels
  • Random Number Generator — supports a range of up to 2 million numbers (−1,000,000 to +1,000,000), available in both wheel and electronic display formats
  • Dice Roller — multiple dice, multiple sides, animated rolls
  • Coin Toss — heads or tails
  • Yes/No Spinner — binary choice, instantly settled
  • On/Off Wheel — quick state decisions at a spin

All tools are free. No account is required. Nothing is stored on our servers — your wheel entries and saved wheels stay on your own device.

What's Next

WheelNamer is actively developed. We review every feature request and piece of feedback we receive, and use it to shape what gets built next. If there's something you'd like to see — a new tool, a different mode, an improvement to something that already exists — we'd genuinely like to hear it.

The goal hasn't changed since we started: make WheelNamer the most useful, reliable, and honest random selector tool on the web.
